How to live in Grace!

Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound.

The Jewish scribes divided the Law of Moses into 613 commandments, 248 positive and 365 negative (Hendriksen. 809). This included the Ten Commandments, the heart of the Law (Exodus 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 5:1-22). All of these laws are contained in the four books, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Thus, although Jews referred to all five books of Moses as “the Law,” technically the Law was limited to these books. In fact, the Law proper is confined to Exodus chapters 20-31; 35-39; the book of Leviticus; Numbers chapters 5-6; 8:1 – 9:14; chapters 26 – 30; and Deuteronomy 4:44 – 26:19.

But where sin (the offence) abounded, grace did much more abound:

Where sin was (abounded) in our lives the grace of God is given to us through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, it replaces the sin and is in super abundance. It is so much greater than the sin we have lived in that the grace makes it appear that there was never any sin in our lives.

Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is clear that sin has reigned unto death due to the fact that men die. But it is not just the physical death that men must deal with but death in every part of life. Many Christians have missed the fact that sickness, disease, and all types of lack is due to sin which all lead to death.

In like manner grace was given to us so that it would reign in our life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What this means is that we should not live under the things that caused death in our old lives. And that we should reign so much that we can hardly remember what the old life consisted of.

Even when we are told that grace is this amazing it is difficult for us to enter into this place where grace completely erases all of the death and defeat from our lives. Accomplishing this goal is easier than many would believe. The problem is many of us are so needy that we need a miracle to get back to level ground. The grace of God will perform miracles if you need one and many of us need one!

Death is the answer! You must Die! Not in the flesh but to the flesh! The dead can’t praise God but we must reckon our lives dead to sin and live unto God through His grace.

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Romans 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Romans 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Romans 6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is very clear that we must think of ourselves as dead with Christ so that we can live in the resurrection and the grace of God! Romans chapter 7 deals with the freedom from sin through death of the self life. Please read it again and again until it becomes yours.

We must again ask God for grace in every area of our lives and everything that we do in life.

1Thessaloians 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

You are saved by grace so that the one who saved you could live through you so that He would be everywhere in the natural as He is in the spiritual. It is time to reign in life through Jesus’ death and now through His life! Amen!!!!
